Who is AdLand Suit?

with one comment

So. Gather ’round people. The Suit has decided to reveal his true identity in the excellent name of charity and the good name of beer. Let me explain:

Some time ago the Suit explained why he choose to be anonymous on the cyber waves. All his reasons were sound and you can read them here. However with anonymity comes fatigue. It’s tiring to negotiate life without a head and, anyway, he wants to meet with the people he has connected with in the same way everyone else is able to.

Recently we were talking about how we might be able to do good things with Twitter – that if, as a community, we could join together *against* something, so too we should be able to join together *for* something. And then he had this idea to raise some money by revealing his identity. Groovy.

In truth, and he may or may not thank me for sharing this, he feels a bit bashful about all of this; reality can underwhelm. Personally I think he’s awesome but I’m not sure that’s the point. And, anyway, whichever way you look at it, this is an excellent way of doing something positive.

So. Where was I? Yes. Here. Getting to the point: the  Suit is going to reveal his identity and raise money for charity while going it. Whoever donates the most gets to go out for lunch with him. It will be somewhere posh probably, because he’s a suit, with or without his head. Dig deep, donate here, it’s for Marie Curie and I think that’s pretty fantastic.

  1. That is most kind of Mr Suit. I look forward to the unveiling. However, I have decided to take an even more generous approach.

If you all donate £10,000 to me then I will reveal who I am not. You will finally discover my anonymous persona.

Make your cheques payable to ‘Ally Farrell’.

I will take the person who donates most generously out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And perhaps to the corner shop for a snack in between too.
