Very much just another blog

Absent here

with one comment

Your absence is everywhere. Your transparent body against mine; your empty breath on my warm skin. You are in the kitchen and by my desk. You are through the open window on the fifth floor, floating on air.

I feel your nearly presence like a second heartbeat pushing my second bloodstream through limbs that would be helpless were it not for their tenacity, were it not for the fact that they keep going and so I keep going. I am fragmented, disjointed: shifted a little to the left, or perhaps the right. But, yes, my body keeps going and will keep going. My brain keeps going. My heart. My lungs. And in your absence I do more and am more than you have had of me. I breathe in and remember that I live beyond the edges that the lack of you chalks out for me.

I touch the paper: if you want me, you will find me.

  1. Blue paper, lit, in my mind. This is an awesome passage!
